Ladakh Ecological Development Group and Women's Alliance of Ladakh are two indigenous NGOs that are strengthening the local communities to provided for their own needs to find a way of counter-development. Concentrating on self-sustaining farming the use of renewable energy and education, traditional medicine and mindful tourism.
